How to Find ISRC Codes on Apple Music
Apple Music stores ISRC codes in track metadata, and there are several ways to access them. If you're an artist or label, Apple Music for Artists and App Store Connect (formerly iTunes Connect) both provide access to ISRC information for your releases.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to Apple Music for Artists at artists.apple.com.
- Navigate to your Music section and find the release containing your track.
- Click on the specific track to view its details.
- The ISRC code is displayed in the track metadata section.
- Alternatively, log in to App Store Connect (appstoreconnect.apple.com) and navigate to your music content to find ISRC codes in the release details.
Tips
- The Apple Music API also provides ISRC codes in the track attributes — look for the
isrcfield in song resources. - If you distributed through a third party (e.g. DistroKid, TuneCore), check your distributor's dashboard first — it may be easier to find the ISRC there.
- Apple Music uses ISRCs to match tracks across different territories, so the same recording should have the same ISRC worldwide.
API Access
The Apple Music API includes ISRC codes in the
attributes object of song resources. You can query songs by catalog ID and the response includes the isrc field. An Apple Developer account with a MusicKit key is required.Need to validate an ISRC?
